Final test strategy

Use the same strategy for every question: ANALYZE what skill is tested, find EVIDENCE, DECIDE between options, CHECK the choice, and REFLECT on mistakes after the test.

Final test strategy
Example 1

Do not answer from memory; return to the text.

Example 2

Explain why the correct option works.

Example 3

Use mistakes to define your next learning goal.

Pair task: Student A explains the diagram. Student B gives a Narciso Matus example. Student C corrects or adds one idea.
3 · Listening First, Transcript Later · 20 min

Before listening: Read the question and predict three words you may hear.

Listening question: What should you do after identifying the skill tested?

In the final simulation, work strategically. Read each question before selecting an answer. Identify the key skill: thesis, argument, connector, vocabulary or intention. Return to the text and look for evidence. Eliminate distractors and check your choice before moving on. After the test, review mistakes to understand why they happened.

HOUR 2 · Interaction & Collaboration · 60 min60 MIN
Hour objective: Use the target language in dialogues and collaborative work with one partner.
4 · Guided Interaction & Dialogues · 25 min

Each dialogue is separated in its own Bootstrap card. Listen first, perform it with your group, then change one idea so the conversation becomes connected to your own school experience.

Dialogue 1
Student: I got the answer wrong because I chose the first familiar word.
Partner: Next time, compare every option with the evidence in the text.
Dialogue 2
Teacher: What did this question test?
Student: The function of therefore.
Teacher: What relationship does it express?
Student: Consequence.
Dialogue 3
Student 1: My score improved, but inference is still difficult.
Student 2: Then inference can be your next practice goal.
5 · Pair / Trio Workshop · 30 min
Team task
  1. Student A explains the main concept in simple English.
  2. Student B finds one example, connector or piece of evidence.
