Presentation and reflection loop

Learning continues after presenting. PRESENT your work, LISTEN to peers, answer a QUESTION, receive FEEDBACK, and REFLECT on what you can do now and what still needs practice.

Presentation and reflection loop
Example 1

Strength: Your thesis was easy to identify.

Example 2

Suggestion: Use a clearer example for argument two.

Example 3

Reflection: I can respond to a counterargument, but I need more fluency.

Pair task: Student A explains the diagram. Student B gives a Narciso Matus example. Student C corrects or adds one idea.
3 · Listening First, Transcript Later · 20 min

Before listening: Read the question and predict three words you may hear.

Listening question: What makes feedback useful?

When you give peer feedback, be specific. Instead of saying good presentation, explain what worked: Your thesis was clear and your example supported the second argument. Then give one useful suggestion: Pause before your counterargument so the contrast is easier to follow. Good feedback helps the speaker improve.

Speaker: What should I improve?
Observer: Speak more slowly when you introduce the counterargument.
Dialogue 2
Teacher: What can you do now that you could not do before?
Student: I can identify a thesis and support my position with reasons.
Dialogue 3
Partner: What is your next goal?
Student: I want to use however and although more naturally.
